The Nevada Wolverines will start the spring travel season with a trip to the City College of San Francisco, 50 Phelan Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94112.

                                                              Saturday March  2014 (9 am to 9 pm)

Our 17U and 16U teams will  play two games to kick off the spring travel season  and to prepare for the upcoming NCAA live period events.


Wolverines take on Oakland Soldiers

Date set for Wolverines battle  #1 AAU program in the Countryspringextravaganza2014

The Nevada CC Wolverines will highlight a very talented pool of teams in the Soldiers Easter Extravaganza Tournament in the Bay Area, CA. This game will mark the third meeting between the Nevada CC Wolverines and the nationally ranked Oakland Soldiers program.

Last year, the Wolverines traveled down to the Bay Area and returned as the Back to Back “Elite Division: Gold Bracket Champions”!

The Oakland Soldiers return a number of nationally ranked players, featuring #1 nationally ranked player in the country for the 2015 class Ivan Rabb amongst others.

Wolverines to Spring Spectacular in Las Vegas

The Nevada CC Wolverines will travel down to Las Vegas at Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas NV) & surrounding area gyms to participate in the 2014 Pangos Spring Spectacular. This 2nd annual 128 team tournament (made up of 17u Invitational (32 teams), 17u Platinum (32 teams), 17u Gold Showcase (16 teams), 16u (32 teams) and 15u (16 teams) will feature several the West Coast’s and beyond top club teams. Headquarters will again be Bishop Gorman HS (Vegas’ top 3 court facility). This event will be open to viewing by NCAA Division I coaches (2012 NCAA post-event paperwork has been approved and is eligible for certification in 2013).

Last April, Belmont Shore (CA), Team Superstar (CA), Las Vegas Prospects (NV), 2012 champs Play Hard/Play Smart (CA), Branch West (CA), Los Angeles Rockfish (CA), Utah Hoops, Cali Style (CA), Colorado Chaos, Danny Granger Hurricanes (NM), Arizona Magic, Gamepoint (CA), Arizona Stars, Salt Lake Prospects (UT), Nevada Wolverines, Bay Area Hoosiers (CA), Compton Magic Red (CA), Henderson Heat (NV), BYC Elite (NM), Bay Area Ballers (CA), CYDC (Calgary CAN), Utah Select, San Francisco Rebels (CA) and A-Train Magic (UT) were among the top club programs participating.

Dozens of college coaches were on hand last year including head coaches Ben Howland (UCLA), Johnny Dawkins (Stanford), Herb Sendek (Arizona State), Steve Alford (New Mexico), Steve Fisher (San Diego State), Dave Rice (UNLV), Randy Bennett (St. Mary’s), Tommy Amaker (Harvard), Marvin Menzies (New Mexico State), Rex Walters (San Francisco), Kerry Keating (Santa Clara), Marty Wilson (Pepperdine), James Jones (Yale), George Nessman (San Jose State), Nick Robinson (Southern Utah) and Jack Murphy (Northern Arizona) as well as assistants from Arizona, USC, Cal, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Colorado, Florida State, BYU, Boston College, UTEP, Fresno State, Central Florida, Long Beach State, UC-Santa Barbara, Loyola Marymount, Utah State, Wyoming, Cal Poly, UC-Irvine, Air Force, Boise State, Rice, James Madison, Lehigh,, Denver, UC-Davis, Pacific, San Diego, Idaho, Idaho State, Eastern Washington, Montana, UC-Riverside, Montana State, Weber State, Lafayette, Southern Utah, Cal State Bakersfield and Sacramento State. TeamSuperstar2014 Superstar Shootout

Limited to the Top Teams on the West Coast

The Wolverines will travel to play in Fresno for 4 games against the nations best players and the best teams in the West Coast.

Team Superstar is back again this spring with the 2013 Superstar Shootout. One of the best programs on the west coast features 2014 All-American, Malik Pope (nationally ranked 25th), Murshid Randle (ranked 16th in CA) and a mix of Sacramento/Fresno’s best area talents. Fresno City College will be the site of the Superstar Shootout that displays a wide array of teams and players from California and Nevada. Teams from last year include the Bay Area Hoosiers, Bay Area Roadrunners, TS Superstars, Las Vegas Prospects, Norcal Pump N Run, BCA, Fresno Blaze, Fresno Thunder and several other teams.

The 10th Annual Reno Memorial Day AAU Tournament. All games will be played at the Reno Sparks Convention, Grand Sierra Hotel, and Reno Event Center.  The tournament has grown from 150 teams to over 971 teams in 10 years. In 2012, teams came from 12 different states including Georgia and Illinois. This year we have teams from Alaska and Canada. The majority of brackets will have 16 teams per division. We will have multiple brackets in each division. This is a great family event.

The 2013 Las Vegas Fab 48 (for grades 15u – 17u) is now set for Thursday-Sunday July and will be headquartered again at Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas NV). This year, a total of 352 teams (maximum capacity) from across the nation, Canada and Germany will compete in the four 17u divisions (192 teams), two 16u divisions (96 teams) and two 15u divisions (64 teams).
